Our Work
Impact Strategies
From the National Science Foundation to the U.S. Department of Defense and entire states, TIES has been a trusted partner of government organizations that seek to improve STEM opportunities for all.
Department of Defense
The Defense Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Education Consortium (DSEC) Cooperative, an initiative funded by the Department of Defense, provides STEM education and outreach programs in communities across the nation. DSEC programs are foundational to the department’s strategy to build a 21st century workforce with the skills and talent to meet evolving defense challenges.
Great Lakes Water Innovation Engine
The U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) has awarded a Regional Innovation Engine to the Great Lakes Water Innovation Engine. Great Lakes ReNEW’s mission is to invent new ways to extract valuable minerals and toxic forever chemicals from our wastewater.
The STEM PUSH Network
An NSF INCLUDES Alliance, the STEM PUSH Network is working to leverage the power of pre-college STEM programs (PCSPs) to broaden participation of Black, Latina/o/e, and Indigenous students in STEM, and, together with its partners, create systemic change in higher education admissions.
